Leroux & Lotz
Our History

Established at the end of the Second World War, Leroux & Lotz Technologies through its ambitious industrial growth strategy develops during several decades as a significant player in different sectors such as shipbuilding, pressure vessels and boilers construction as well as in the petrochemical industry among others.

During the 1990s, a focus was placed on our environment and energy businesses. In 2005, Leroux & Lotz Technologies was taken over by the Groupe ALTAWEST as its first major acquisition.

Since then, we have continued this growth path in the sector where we are recognized as a major player, both in terms of our technologies, our references and our investment strategy in innovation.

  • 1946

    Foundation of the company in Nantes - Société Mécanique Navale
  • 1985

    First order for the manufacturing of an energy recovery boiler for a municipal solid waste incineration plant.
  • 2000

    Creation of the Grenoble agency with the integration of boiler design teams from the companies Carosso and Fire Power.
  • 2005

    • LLT joins the Groupe ALTAWEST, strengthening its commitment to the Energy and Environment sectors.
    • LLT commissions its first biomass boiler island for district heating in Cergy in the North of Paris.
  • 2010

    LLT purchases the technology portfolio from TPS, the Swedish benchmark company for fluidized bed technologies for both combustion and gasification.
  • 2011

    Creation of Leroux & Lotz Polska

  • 2017

    LLT signed an exclusivity agreement for the French Market with Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems for the supply of mass burning grate baseds on Koch technology.
